Look after the Environment and wash your vehicle

When washing your vehicle at home on a hard surface like a driveway, pollutants from your vehicle enter directly into waterways causing damage to our marine ecosystems.

It is estimated that between 6 and 11.6 Gigaliters of contaminated waste water is being directed into our storm water systems across Australia as a result of uncontrolled vehicle washing on hard surfaces (passenger vehicles only, excluding commercial and other vehicles)1.

Wash your car on grass or gravel instead of the driveway or street, or better yet, take your vehicle to a car wash where the waste water gets treated and recycled.
