Seasonal changes and automatic washing

If you are a regular automatic wash user you may notice that the wash you usually get during summer may not work as well in winter. This is usually caused by your vehicle simply getting more contaminants on it during wetter periods. Water on the road containing contaminants (grime, dirt, oil etc.) is deposited on your car while driving from your own tyres and from other vehicles on the road.

There are a few options to deal with your vehicle being dirtier during winter:

  • Wash your vehicle in the manual bays every 2nd or 3rd wash
  • Wash your vehicle more often in the automatic wash
  • Select a higher package when washing your vehicle
  • Continue washing as normal in the automatic wash with the knowledge that your vehicle might not be quite as clean as usual
