Dog Wash Close Up

The best way to remove bugs

Cleaning bugs off when they are fresh makes the job quicker and easier, as bugs can really stick and stain if left for too long. The general idea is to use the Bug Wash to soften the bugs, then High Pressure Soap to take them off the vehicle.

Please note that the Foam Brush is not a good tool for removing bugs, as the brush has very soft bristles and is designed for road grime.

Step 1:

Bug Wash Menu

Start by liberally applying Bug Wash to the affected areas - usually the front of the vehicle and side mirrors. If you have roof racks or aerials there are probably bugs there too.

We usually apply the Bug Wash to the whole vehicle, so that by the time we go all around the vehicle and move onto the High Pressure Soap the bugs are nice and soft and come off easily.

Step 2:

High Pressure Soap Menu

Now go around the vehicle as usual with the High Pressure Soap. When you get to bug affected areas you may need to hold the gun much more closely to the vehicle, depending on how stuck on the bugs are.

Our High Pressure Soap uses hot water so it is much more effectve than using the High Pressure Rinse. Be aware of any paint damage lie scratcheds or stone chips when holding the gun very close to the vehicle.
